Tuari Micah Walker, professionally known as “Micah The Artyst,” is a three-time award-winning multidisciplinary artist with a passion for storytelling through art. From childhood, Micah immersed himself in creativity, drawing inspiration from cartoons and anime. His artistic journey took root at the African American Atelier, where he honed his skills in printmaking, sculpting, and textiles through Saturday Enrichment Art classes.
At just thirteen, Micah discovered his affinity for muralism, igniting a lifelong career pursuit. Over the course of eight years with a muralist group, he cultivated his craft before embarking on a solo venture in 2022, founding “Micah the Artyst.” Since then, Micah has made his mark across North Carolina's art scene, exhibiting his captivating works at prestigious venues like High Point Furniture Market.
Micah's artistic prowess has garnered acclaim, earning him prestigious awards and recognition. Notable achievements include showcasing his work in the showrooms of industry leaders like Home Trends & Design and SplashWorks. His piece "Black Boy Meadows" was featured in the esteemed Home Goods 2024 Black History Artist Collection, underscoring his talent and commitment to storytelling through art.
